Meet Our Baking Volunteers
“I would just like to say…. I absolutely love baking for Made by Mary. I cannot tell you how wonderful it is to put a smile on someone’s face when I deliver my baked goods. They are so appreciative that someone is thinking about them whether they are going through a health crisis, feeling down or just celebrating something special.” –Lisa
“I grew up in Mt Prospect, and now live in Hoffman estates. Learned to love baking with encouragement from my mother. I continue to experiment with flavors, colors and textures and am proud to be a small part of the Made by Mary family.” – Carol
As a child I watched my mom share her baked goods with neighbors. They were elderly, sick or having a tough time. I always delivered these for her. When I bake for people I feel an unusual happiness, especially knowing it’s a stranger. I always say a prayer for the receiver of whatever I make. I’m glad to be part of such a sweet gesture. – Linda
We get the chance to pray for each MBM recipient on the way to their home with a homemade treat. What a joy! – Amy
I love being part of MBM! Being a lover of sweets, and very partial to homemade ones. When you had the idea this summer, I was so excited to start baking for others. It’s been fun ringing door bells, and tell the recipient that they are being thought of today:) – Jeanne
I was inspired by MBM to be a part of blessing the neighborhood community. Made by Mary is spreading TLC… I wanted to be a part of it! I don’t bake, not always able to drive, but I love to make cards.
Our Delivery Volunteers
“I am honored to be a part of the Made by Mary team! Being able to see the children in our community and help them forget their worries for even a few minutes is an incredible experience!” – Joey
“After the recent passing of my nephew, Sam, I saw how nice it was for my sister to receive home made treats wrapped up so pretty from our neighbors. It spoke volumes to me. I wanted to be involved and help this group reach out to make other people smile. We are so fortunate to live in a community where neighbors care about each other. ” – Sheila
We would like to thank Andy’s Frozen Custard for donating free concrete mixers to the children Santa visited on behalf of Made By Mary. Please visit the Mt. Prospect Andy’s location at 205 E. Rand Road and thank them for their support!

Teaspoons of Testimonials
“My guy had a stroke earlier this year. Over the summer I reached out to the team at Made By Mary and they sent us some cupcakes. He is still bedridden but those cupcakes brightened the day for both of us as I am his primary caretaker.”
“I’ve been a supporter and a delivery helper for MBM because Mary, Kelly and their family remind me how to be a good neighbor, how to live selflessly and that we all have talents we can contribute towards the betterment of the world!“
“I was the recipient after my sister passed away… a very difficult time for me and to think a stranger was kind enough to bring joy me joy, just made me cry…there I was, still in my robe, crying with gratitude! And now I help when needed!“
